Calm and confident "Vento" come from Poland to Finland in August and has been our guest since.
Vento has in Finland already one very promising litter with Sukan Paahto-Papu.
Just before Christmas, 18-20.12.08 I visited Sweden, and accompanied Vento to his way back home.
Christmas Vento celebrates in Sweden, as he meets there an charming Swedish PON-lady, and after that he goes back to POland.

WINNER 2008, INT HELSINKI 13.12.08
The Winner-show 2008 was hold in Helsinki, Mesasukeskus, 13.12.2008.
In the finals Rui Oliveira from Portugal raised Flinkbein Breedergroup, with Puchar-Pies, Wolec, Swietny ja Godna POdziwu, to the semifinals among several, several breedergroups.
Our results were as "lightful" as they shuld be at The Day of Light ( Lucia-day)...
Besides this Flinkbein Energizny in open class VG.
Also Swietny was in semifinals among 8 best dogs.
Thanks for all who were with us and encourage us :-) It is delight to go in for shows wit you.

INT JYVÄSKYLÄ 22.11.2008
The international show in Jyväskylä was 22.11.2008. The day was a very nice, cold winterday.
In the goup competition stoped by also Puchar - among the more mature dogs - and Ceder - in the group one. Ceder was just divine to show in the big ring, so gorgeously he was runing....
At the very first time in "adult classes" was also Willa, age 9 months 2 weeks :-)
And the results were very nice.
The Jyväskylä show was one of the "Royal Canin Cup Junior"-shows, and in this show they select also the best junior of the show. Willa was THE BEST JUNIOR OF BREED and assist in the group competitios of junior dogs.
There was numerous, numerous beautiful juniordogs in this competition, but Willa appeared to advantage and get to semifinals among 10-15 juniordogs. Womderful start to Willa's show carreer.

02.11.2008 SSKY PUPPYCLASS
02.11.2008, Sunday, was the traditional SSKY puppy show. The show was at the same place, as the special show, in the ball hall situated in Vantaa, Myyrmäki. Also the agility-competition and the pet-exposition continued in the hall, but it was not so cramped on Sunday, as it was on Saturday
The results were as wonderful, as they were on Saturday !!!
”Iitu” started her show carreer reslly magnificently, as in the group-competition she was raised
to the semifinals, among 6 puppyis, and after that to the finals. The definitive placement was

01.11.2008 SSKY SPECIAL SHOW
The SSKY special show for the year 2008 was for now in the ball hall, situated in Vantaa, Myyrmäki. The day for this show was 01.11.2008 and the judge was Leni Finne, Finland. This show is also the special show for PON's.
Meanwhile there was also Agility-competition and the pet-exposition in the hall, so the congestion was infernal.
Although the day was just fabulous, and the results gorgeous, even though I noticed my own condition was not so god with ten dogs :-)

Our PON H-litter was born 16.10.2008. The father of the litter is a polish, successful, charming, veteran male, IntCh,ChPL,MlChPL,MlZwKL'01,VceZw EU'02 ABSOLWENT Rivendall ans the mother FIN & EST CH Sukan Paahto-Papu.
We got 2 males and 3 females. All pups are white wiht black marks, and one male and one female have short tails and the others have long tails.

The eventful day continued far away to the evening, as our lagotto Noosa started her delivery late in the night. As we tought, Noosa was quite big, there was only one singleton golden female puppy.

When I was coming back from the PON-camp, I got a wonderful message. 05.10.2008 in Budabest, Hungary, was the EUROPEAN DOG SHOW, where Janne was BOO, and got the CACIB and the title EUROPEANWINNER

PON-CAMP
The Finnish PON-club arranged the training camp for pons 3-5.09.2008 in Hiidenhelmi, Punkalaidun.
I participate with Tiia to the further studies of agility training.
Tiina and Wole had started the agility-training last year, and Wole fall in love to the agility.
Pirkko participate to the further studies of agility training, "sausage-square" and tracking . Pirkko was natural in both agility and tracking.
Iitu participate to the show training, agility-training for the beginners and also obedience for the beginners.
Also Maisa tried agility and it was great........
The trainers deliver the distinction of their own to the most eager, meritorious trainees.
The weather was really nice all along the event, as after the some rainy days the sun was shining and it was not so cold either.
We had a very good representation, as I participate to this camp with Tane and Tija. There was also
Mirja, Kari and Iitu, Suvi and Lara, Kirsi and Pirkko, Tiina and Wole, Taina and Maisa, which Taina was also trainer for the obedience dogs.
Tane started his obedience training, and had a crack at "sausage-square" and trail. Also Tane was very accurate, when tracking. She advanced step by step in the field, precisely on top of the track.
I could even hear his nose snuffling far afield.
So in this year they participate to the agility-training of beginners and tubes, jumps and balance beam turn out as well.
Her sister Lara participate also to the show training, agility-training for the beginners and also obedience for the beginners Lara was so eager for training agility that she come to the agility court
completely alone. When I carried her away, she screamed and was wery aggrieved at..............
Lara got the "anxiety concise" –mug as an praise in agility of beginners and also in obedience. Pirkko got the mug as praise in agility of the competent. Iitu got a PON-puzzle as praise in progress of show training

AGILITY AND OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST OF PONS 07.09.2008
The seventh of Septerber were the annual AGILITY AND OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST of the PON-club. In this year the the Championship Contest was hold in Tampere, in a dog training court of "Tampereen Koiraurheilijat". The Championship Contest was hold in the varietys
The ”beginners class” is the own competition for the novices in obedience.The achievements are based on the official obedience achievements, but they are much easier. The dog can be in the line all the time, and you can touch the dog. It’s not so bad to give some extra commands, and the rewarding/ motivating the dog with the tidbit, is allowed.

by the obedience training of the local club. During the summer, all the other dogs
had dropped off, and only Pirkko and the German shepherds had carried on.
Exquisitely has Tuomas succeed to train Pirkko, it was so marvellous to watch the collaboration of these two.

In the obedience championship, in classes ALO-EVL, we have the official rules.
The results, which are from different classes, get comparable with so called class-levelling-points.

DASHING EXECUTION TAINA & MAISA !!!! CONGRATULATIONS
The beginners make one normal obstacle-track.The ower can have tidbits or toy with he/she. The time is not decisive, but the faultlessness of the track.
The referee doesn't abandon the remittance, but for rejection the dog gets 10 error points more. There is no ideal time, but on ground of the time was solved the dogs with the same points.

I believe, Tiia had fun in the contest, anyhow all the audience had real, real fun, and the owner - in no case :-)
When Tiia run forward, she was fast, very fast, but the she had three knock back, and some other deviation to the odd directions. So she got an unbelievable amount of errors.
It seems quite aberrant, but running in the track, I thought, we could make an attempt to the real contest, in future...

01.-03.08.2008 was three different shows in Kuopio. Unfortunately we couldn’t participate to the first show on Friday, caused by work, but the two next shows we participate. With us came to Kuopio also Kikka, as we ment to take Ella to the puppy-class, But however Ella started her first season, and Kikka resided with her friends, who breed wheaten terriers, and their males participate also to the show, we could’t take Ella with us to confuse the males. GRAND THANKS TO MERVI FOR THE ACCOMMODATION AND THE WHOLLY DELIGHTFUL ROUTINE WITH SAUNA, ON SATURDAY EVENING :-)

On Sunday Tane showed his cac-rosette to everybody and took it to the tent and his cage. When we set out to go to by ”biglet-ears” to Tane and Puchar, returned Tane and took the rosette with him. He didn’t give it back, so I thought, he can take it with him.

On Sunday in the group competition both Wolec competing in the group 1 and Puchar competing among almost two hundred veteran dogs were raised to the finals, Wolec among eight best dogs and Puchar among ten best veterans. Puchar appear in the ring with his new handler Riikka, and they did it really great !!

In the group competition Puchar was raised among the 10 best veteran dogs.
When veterans entered the big ring, the announcer told, in this show presented almost 220 different breeds and almost every breed, thay had a veteran BOB ib this ring. So you can imagine, the veteran group was enormous.
It was so gorgeous to get to the finals, in spite of we didn’t get the placement in this time.
Friday 01.08.2008 was the first of the three international shows in Kuopio. In the very rainy weather, in the very muddy ring
were Tiina and Wole placed
Tbe very best issue in the whole show-turnee was Tanes way to adopt an attitude to these shows….
On Saturday, when the ring-secretary brought the BOB-rosette, jerk Tane the rosette to himself, and carried it to the tent we had with us. Of course he twisted at first all the PON-people to show his rosette and received the praises.
Tane carried the rosette all the way to the purchase-tent-area, far away our ring, and dropped the rosette not until before the rize-tent. Thence he carried the rosette to "Roydon-tent", where we bough the ”biglet-ears”. When we get off, dumped Tane the rosette and took the ”biglet-ear” with him, and carried it to our tent. So he precise
used the rosette as a payment for the ”biglet-ear”..............

Saturday 26.07 we had an international show in very sunny and hectic Pori. Tane was in the intermedia class at the very first time. Also veteran-Puchar and Wolec and Swietny were booked to this show.
.........so Tane gets his first CACIB from Wole. The female cac and res-CACIB went to Flinkbein Uroda's daughter, Suankroopin Dama Dola
On the next day was the national show in Turku.

Well, perhaps this debut was not quite, what we expected, as Rola refused to move in the muddy ring and got also critics : quite stout...That's the reason she got good.

Saturday 12.07 was the day for the international show in Oulu. There was also Wolec-father and the children Cindy and Zeppe.
Sunday 13.07 was the show in Karjaa. The day was hectic with lots of sunny heat. It was the very first show for Ella, the daughter of Osna and Ceder
Oulu had another show too, on Subday there was a national show for all breeds. But the weather in Oulu was awful, it was raining and the show rings were muddy as they were swamps. The cildren didn't want to do their best, as zeppo got "very dood" and Cindy satisfying, but father maintain his routine, and was

WORLD WINNER SHOW 2008, STOKHOLM, SWEDEN
The first weekend in July was arranged the WORLD WINNER SHOW 2008, in Stokholm, Sweden. The show was in four days, and the PON’s were in the ring in Friday. 04.07.2008. The lagotto-day was Sunday, but unfortunately we didn’t have the possibility to stay so until Sunday, so we didn’t see lagottos.
I travelled with Tintti, Milou, Tane and Puchar to Sweden in Wednesday evening, and in the morning we in Stocholm we check in our nice hotell, and went to shopping… Tiina and Minna came in the Friday morning, directly to the show.
On Thursday-evening the Swedish PON-friends had arranged a PON-PIKNIK, and we went there with Tintti. We met so many Swedish and polish PON-people, and had such a nice evening !!! Very many thanks for the arrangers !!!
Back to home we left on Saturday-evening, so we had also another day for shopping :-) On Saturday we discoverd an “Outlet Town” near Stokholm, and had a very nice day :-)

At the same time with the World Dog Show, 5-9.07.08 , was the national show in Mikkeli. This was the event, Zeppe , Flinkbein Energizny , and his family started their holidays.
Indeed Zeppe started HIS holiday immediately, and refused to run in the show-ring ( who’s going to strive on holiday…) and that’s the reaoson, he got ” very good”
The small city Järvenpää, had two shows in the weekend 28-29.06.08. they were standalone shows, but at the same area.

Sunday 29.6 we had the both breeds, PON and LAGOTTO, represented in the show. For Alma, the young lagotto-female, the show was the first one, and we all were wery excited. I believe, Alma was the calmest of us, and so she got the mention of good behavior, in the critics. PON's we had with us father-Wolec and the son Zeppe

Flinkbein Zupelny Sukces , who had the gorgeous success.
Besides Milou was BOB, THE BEST OF BREED he increased the histpory and took his seventh group placing from this show.

Lagottos suffer from benign juvenile epilepsy (Jokinen et al. J Vet Intern Med 2007;21:464–471). Seizures may begin at very early puppyhood, and usually resolve spontaneously when puppy is growing. However, there are also some adult cases.
Recently, the gene that causes the disease, has discovered. It is a new unpublished type of epilepsy. The dog can be normal, carrier or sick when tested.

08.06.2008 was the Tuuri-show, the traditional
"million-dog" show. Behold show was Tiina and Wole. CONGRATULATIONS TIINA
Also Cindi was in Tuuri, but in this time she got :" NOT ABLE TO JUDGE ", as she didn't want to show her teeth :-). Wole stayd to wait, in the windy, sandy show area, finals to start.
The start was very promising, as Wole was reised to the semifinals. The continuation was equally magnificent, as he was also reised to the finals. He took the place GROUP 1 , and continued to the BEST IN SHOW competition. In the BIS-ring he didn't get more placing.
So the final placing to Wolec was GROUP 1

07.06.2008 was in Pieksämäki the show for all breeds. There was also Tintti with Milou and Lani.....

This Aptus show was one of these shows, which belong to the ROYAL CANIN JUNIOR -competition, and in the group finals there was also the competition of THE BEST IN SHOW JUNIOR . Tane was the best junior of the breed, and was with the endless, endless, endless crow of the juniordogs. Tanes success in the junior group competition was just great, as he was raised through several semifinals among the 14 BEST JUNIOR DOGS.

In this weekend has happened a lot of events around the Country.
In Joensuu was arranged two different shows in the weekend, Saturday 17.05.08 the show for all breeds and Sunday 18.05.08 the international show. On Saturday there was also a group show in Pori, and a BH-test in Vantaa.

The annual meetig of SSKY was 24.04.2008.
In the annual meeting of SSKY they announce the Chalenge cups to the best dogs and breeders of the current year. This competition is for all dogs, of those 51 different breeds, which the SSKY represents. The Chalenge cups are given to the : MOST VICTORIOUS MALE, MOST VICTORIOUS FEMALE, MOST VICTORIOUS MALE VETERN, MOST VICTORIOUS FEMALE VETERAN, BEST TRIAL DOG and to the MOST VICTORIOUS BREEDER.
THE FINNISH COMPANION DOG CLUB - SSKY is an organization which covers the whole country trying to promote
the breeding and use of companion dogs. The members of SSKY are individual dog owners and different breedclubs, which are not big enough to operate as independent organizations under the Finnish Kennel Club. Also Finnish PON-Club is a member of SSKY. SSKY represents in all 51 different breeds.
On Saturday 19.04.2008 was the international show of Jyväskylä.
There was booked three of our dogs, Milou, Cindy and Tane. It was just a great day !
In the end of the day both Tane and Milou participate the GROUP COMPETITION.

On Sunday 13.04.2008 was in Bydgoszcz. Poland, the most important
show for PON's, THE PON CLUB SHOW.
In Poland, on the spot, I felt, that all the Class-Winners - still less the Winner of the whole show-
were highly respected. This was ENOURMOUS ACHIEVEMENT FROM JANNE, and the honour of this prize is indescribable.
The President of the Polish Pon Club told me, that during this 19 years and these 19 PON club shows,
ONLY 2 DOGS OF FOREIGN BREEDERS HAVE EVER WON THE SHOW.

In September 2007 I reseived the "Achievement in the Development and Promotion of the PON award"
In that meeting I was told, that the petition of THE GOLDEN BADGE OF MERIT, OF THE POLISH KENNELCLUB , which is the
most highest merit in Poland, was made by the ZG ZKwP Klub Komisja PON. It is admited only by the Polish Kennelclub,
and it can take one year to get the answer, and it's not always so sure to get it. But the honour, even for the
petition of this medal, is considerable.
In the beginning of January 2008, I got a letter from Polish Kennel club. I was told, that I have been admit

In the general meeting 29.023.2008 has Finish PON-club, again, unveil the order to the BEST PON'S OF THE YEAR 2007. The winners got the the Chalenge cups and lovely red rosette to their own. They were given to THE BEST SHOW PON MALE / THE BEST SHOW PON FEMALE / THE BEST VETERAN MALE / THE BEST VETERAN FEMALE / THE BEST OBEDIENCE PON / THE BEST AGILITY PON / MEGA-PON / THE BEST PERFORMANCE-PON . Surely it was rewarded, with the rosettes, the three best dogs for each series. Flinkbein-dogs collect a stately troop of the rosettes - of the seven possible first-places we got four, and also from the two remaining grade, we got the third place :-). From this picture, there is missing the pocal of the best veteran male.

SOME NEWS OF DAPHNE (Flinkbein Wyntr White Star)
The only sister of Wolec, Daphne Flinkbein Wyntr White Star lives in USA, Florida.
The owner of Daphne, Merrilee, has just got some news from AKC, that they have got the Top Champion Producing Dam and Sire for the year of 2007 -titles. There is a tie for the top Dam, but, both are their dogs, and the other of them is Daphne!!!
Daphne has also been at Doggie Camp, which she loved. She earned her Canine Good Citizen title and her Temperament title while she was there, which means she can visit children's hospitals, nursing homes, etc More information and news in Daphne's own pages

The international show in Turku, was 27.01.
This quite wonderful start for the year continued also in this show :-) It was the quite first show for "Tane", Talizman Flinkbein Kontekst,
in "adult"classes, as he was just 10 monts old, and was competing in juniorclass.
In the group competition, truly gorgeous moving Minski was among the 9 best dogs, but in this time, she didn't
get the final place
Tane was at the very first time in juniorclass, and got his first cac. Unfortunately he didn't have age enough :-)

show in Finland. It was the first show of the year, and was hold in Kajaani, 05.01.2008. To this show was booked two Flinkbein
dogs, Wolec and his daughter Cindy. But Wole - or actually Tiina - was not able to travel to Kajaani, so Cindy was representing
us alone. She is yet competing in juniorclass.

ring on Thursday 03.01.08 and on Sunday 06.01.08

who got both CACIB and Swedish cac, and become also SWEDISH CHAMPION The culmination for the group competition, was the selection of the most beautiful dog of the whole show, on the next day, Friday 4.1.
The judge was English Liz Cartledge, who thought, that Milou was the 5th best dog, in this whole show for 5000 dogs.
